Commodity and Credit Risk Control (CCRC) is a highly international team (working in English) that is responsible for controlling the risks (price, credit, margin and operational) across E.ON's commodity portfolios (gas, coal, oil, emissions, power and associated products) , challenging and measuring the actual and risk adjusted performance of the business and supporting EET through the development of appropriate new controls and policies that open up new trading opportunities and support EET's expansion into new European and Global energy markets.

While a strong numerical background is important we are looking for analysts who have or who are keen to develop their knowledge of our assets, markets and want to be part of developing new approaches to support the development of a world class risk control function. Senior Power Risk Analyst (m/f)

Responsibilities

  • Educated to at least degree level with a strong grasp of numbers and analysis
  • At least 5 years experience in commercial roles within a commodity related business with responsibility for risk topics
  • Experience through the lifecycle (from idea to delivery) of sophisticated trading strategies, new product development and risk management concepts
  • Proven experience in leading or coordinating business and IS implementation projects involving a large number of diverse stakeholders
  • Working with large and complex portfolios underpinned by a number of business processes and systems
  • Developing and communicating both risk management policies and (product/book/hedging) controls both at a Board and operational level
  • Working with multi-cultural colleagues and forming productive working relationships

Qualifications

  • A proven self starter with a demonstrable delivery track record
  • Be comfortable with numbers, analysis and statistics
  • Able to take complex issues and explain them in a structured and simple form to management and to more junior colleagues
  • Well organised and have a structured approach with the ability to manage a diverse workload dlivering to tight timescales
  • Experienced in coaching other members of the team to solve complex problems or implement new solutions
