Senior Oil Products Market Analyst (m/f)

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis of global oil products market prices and fundamentals for the forward horizon out to 5 years ahead
  • Key customers include the EET trading and market analysis desks and portfolio optimization teams as well as other parts of EET
  • Monitor key parameters of the oil and oil products market such as refining margins and utilisation, inventory levels, market structure and structural changes and global oil balance
  • Work closely with traders and other market analysts. Elaborate on concrete trade recommendations for the oil and oil products desk
  • Identification, analysis, quantification and communication of key market risks to Risk and Portfolio management
  • Present analysis and recommendations to management and traders. Strong ability to deduce and communicate independent price view in a convincing manner

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of oil products markets in particular and commodities markets in general. Profound understanding of key market and price drivers
  • Strong statistical and econometric abilities
  • Industry background from the Refinery or Oil Products section
  • Working experience in a trading environment
  • Experience in database handling and automized reporting
  • Strong commercial acumen; ability to translate issues into impact on company profitability and identify financial risks
  • Strong network and team player with a high degree of self motivation, empathy and excellent communication skills
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present and describe findings and results comprehensibly
