Our department "Environmental Products Portfolio" is searching for a
Portfolio Analyst for Environmental Products Portfolio (m/f)
Responsibilities
Work closely with the carbon traders to develop and implement optimisation strategies to deliver significant value from the asset positions, within the hedging frameworks
Proactively liaise with the other Front Office trading and portfolio optimisation teams to ensure positions are optimised across the total commodity trading value chain
Identify commercial and market opportunities by working with Middle Office Market Analysis and Portfolio Analysis teams and by using your own analysis and research techniques
Understand and explain the P&L performance, key position movements and potential risk/reward outcomes of your portfolio to the team and senior management
Develop required reports in Business Objects and other relevant applications that will aid understanding of cross-portfolio positions and provide transparency on performance
Lead and contribute to the Integration and other projects that develop the Western European Power and Emissions portfolio
Constantly challenge status quo thinking and seek innovative ways of creating value from the asset position
Qualifications
Track record of developing asset optimisation/trading techniques or creating value from energy markets
Good understanding of European energy markets and interaction of commodities/markets
Ability to interface and build strong relationships with other teams and internal stakeholders
Good academic qualifications in relevant areas
An entrepreneurial and creative approach
Driven by challenge and a passion to deliver value
