We are currently looking for an

IT Operations Specialist

to join our winning team in Karlskoga/Sweden.

The Information Technology Operations Specialist is responsible for providing user support and maintaining the organization’s technical infrastructure. The successful candidates pro-actively diagnose / determine root-cause analysis and facilitate resolutions to technical issues within the Nobel Biocare facility.

Main role and responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd level technical support to internal end-users within production and administrative offices.
  • Assist IT Manager in monitoring production services like Production Order Flow, services, infrastructure etc.
  • Facilitate remote installation process.
  • Manage Active Directory; create users, computers, and apply policies.
  • Prepare replacement/backup hardware for production, where applicable (e.g. Regular PCs, milling machine PCs, production label printers, scanners etc.).
  • Maintain inventory of all hardware ensuring replacements are available as needed.
  • Utilize Microsoft SCCM to manage computers within the domain.
  • Application packaging for SCCM deployments.
  • Maintain contact list for hardware and software vendors used in production.
  • Create/execute change requests, with proper documentation and testing.
  • Active support of global infrastructure projects with impact to production, e.g. testing/user information/roll-out activities.
  • Perform desktop level software and hardware installations and upgrades, implement file backups, and configure systems and applications.
  • Create and maintain user account database, manage system access – suspending/terminating access levels, coordinate user moves, and other changes with appropriate department manager to limit business disruption.
  • Create network patches as needed.

Desired Skills & Knowledge

  • Associates Degree or Technical School certification; Bachelor Degree desired.
  • Min. of 2-3 years’ experience in tier 2 IT support or 3 years’ experience in Help Desk/Tier 1 support.
  • Excellent troubleshooting & problem management
  • Ability to package software
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced technical environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English, and preferably in Swedish as well (written and verbal)
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision making skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes in business demands.
  • Ability to build & manage strong working relationships with customers and peers.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
