Our department "Commodity & Credit Risk Controlling" is searching for a
Credit Risk Analyst--Counterparty Analysis Physical Coal and Freight (m/f)
Responsibilities
Evaluation of quantitative and qualitative data for physical coal and physical freight counterparty financial and other information to set counterparty credit limits in accordance with Company policy
Develop new methodologies within the framework of Company policies to adapt to the specific characteristics of the coal and freight markets
Evaluation of transaction specific characteristics and approval of transactions, based on limit, collateral and deal structure
Proactively liaise with counterparties to support commercial initiatives
Tight dialogue with front office to ensure timely response to business requirements
Provide leadership in drafting and negotiation of credit aspects within Master Agreements such as SCoTA and others
Identify, measure, monitor, mitigate and report credit risk
Proactively work with traders on credit issues
Represent Credit Manager at key meetings and risk committee when necessary
Contribute to ad hoc project work
Some travel required
Keeping abreast of current trends and market developments in areas of expertise
Undertake personal and team development programmes in accordance with Company initiatives
Qualifications
Three to five (3-5) years experience in a trading risk management or similar role within traded markets or a bank, particular experience in freight and/or coal markets required
Graduate or professional qualification
Assertive personality who enjoys to interact, negotiate and mediate with several different constituents
Self-starter with drive to achieve objectives
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Demonstrably able to adapt to new challenges and change in a fast-moving environment and provide fresh ideas and solutions
Commercial acumen and good sense of business awareness
Strong team player with ability to cultivate positive working relationships both within Company and externally
Communicate complex issues in clear and concise manner
Very good knowledge of English necessary. German a plus - other languages welcome
